The IAPD (International Association of Plastics Distribution) is a body in the plastics community that brings together manufacturers, distributors, manufacturers’ representatives and service providers in a place that encourages the free flow of ideas and information in a collaborative environment that helps it’s members both increase their knowledge of the industry, and build their businesses. As a long time member of the IAPD, I am happy to be attending the 2013 IAPD Convention from September 30th to October 2nd in Miami, Florida.

The theme for this years convention is “Celebrating the Power of Plastics”, and in such a dynamic and evolving industry, there is lots to celebrate. This year will host the first ever plastics and design competition, highlighting unique and innovative uses of plastics in different applications. This will most definitely be a great way to see exciting new uses of plastic materials that “help solve problems, conserve energy and provide better, healthier products to the world, ” says the IAPD in a recent press release.
